Save fuel with Erdé trailers!

Help the environment while pocketing the change.

Check out the many reasons to choose an Erdé trailer HERE

e.g. Erdé ER193 trailer (6x4 box trailer) weighs 160kg. Carries 590kg. Gross weight 750kg. Most other trailers of this size weigh over 240kg. This means they carry less load and use more fuel than comparable Erdé trailers (it's like carrying another 80kg passenger about all the time)T.

(All Erdé trailers have a built-in safety margin of 50% - But do not overload your trailer!)

IMPORTANT........... protect your insurance ......and licence

Many trailers bear no indication of their Tare (unladen) weight on their compliance plate. This leads to a situation where the user doesn't really know how much the trailer can legally carry. All Erdé trailers display their TARE (unladen) weight. This is vital as if you are involved in an accident while towing an overloaded trailer, your insurance will be null and void and you may be liable to be prosecuted under the road traffic act.

e.g. A trailer is rated as a 750kg (3/4 tonne) trailer. Many people are under the impression it will therefore carry 3/4 tonne load. The trailer may weigh 250kg., so it will only legally carry 500kg (1/2 tonne). Trailers exceeding 3/4 tonne gross must have brakes in Australia.

Be safe with Erdé Trailers

Erdé trailers employ a superior dynamic braking system with auto-reversing hubs on all wheels, so you don't need to get out of your vehicle, flip the lever, do your reversing then remember to flip the lever back when continuing your journey.
